Andreas Loven (born 28 October 1981 in Tromsø, Norway) is a Norwegian jazz pianist. ==Career== Loven was raised in Oslo where he was taught classical piano by his grandmother from the age of six. Later he studied with several private teachers, among them Tord Gustavsen in Norway and Andrew Liley at the South African College of Music. As a performer and composer, his approach is eclectic, drawing upon several styles and performers like Bebe Mseleku, Keith Jarrett, Bill Evans, Andile Yenana, E.S.T, Tord Gustavsen, Brad Mehldau, Robert Glasper and others. Loven resides in Cape Town, South Africa, where he has performed with musicians like Shane Cooper (upright bass), Lwanda Gogwana (trumpet), Mandla Mlangeni (trumpet), Spha Mdlalose (vocals), Clement Benny (drums), Buddy Wells (saxophone), Tumi Mogorosi (drums), Lance Herman (guitar), Lee Thompson (trumpet), Chris Engel (saxophone) and Peter Auret (drums) among others. His debut album ''Nangijala'' (2015), was recorded during 2014, and the music presented at the 'National Jazz Scene' (Oslo, Norway) and seminal jazz clubs the Orbit and Straight no Chaser in South Africa.
